Unable to make calls and receive texts on new EE sim

Anyone know why I've purchased a new phone n ee sim card.Ive topped it up but it won't let me make calls? I can recieve calls but can't recieve texts or make calls n send texts

EE standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm.
