Subscription pack not activating

I ordered a Sim card from EE to make use of the Subscription pack.

I live on the Isle of Man and have a trip to the UK next week and then on to Germany.  Our mobile service providers here are poor so I decided to go with EE.  The pack is ideal and as I'm going to be in Germany for 6 days, I plan on adding the 7 day Roaming pack on the day I'm heading to the EU.

So my card arrived in the Isle of Man today.  As my trip is next week I decided to go ahead and get it setup now.  I installed the app on my phone and proceeded to register the sim.  Once done, I logged into my account and topped up £15 into my credit. This is the cost of my subscription plan.  I must admit, I assumed that it would automatically take that credit and issue me with my plan. However, that was not the case.

After much hunting around on my account, I could see that I could activate the plan from my credit. Upon clicking this, it informed that it would taker the  £15 from my credit and activate my plan..  Only.. It hasn't.  No matter what I do, my plan doesn't activate and the credit balance remains at £15.

I have spoken with a chap on support who says that the plan has activated and it will refresh as soon as I turn my phone on and off again.  This was a few hours ago and still there's no change.

Has anyone got any pointers?

Being on the Isle of Man, any texts I try to send to 150 come back as unsent so unfortunately, that's not been much help to me either.

Thanks in advance.

To be used abroad EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network. If it wasn't you can't now use it until you return to UK. The inability to send texts to 150 currently confirms this.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.
