Subscription Pack

We have been overseas for several years but using a PAYG SIM card, mainly for text messages to members of the family in the UK without internet access.

We are travelling to the UK shortly and it seems sensible to purchase a Subscription Pack with X amount of GB Data.

A quick question, please.  When I have purchased the Pack and arrive in the UK, do I simply turn on Mobile Data on my phone to activate Internet access?

Many thanks from an ageing non-techie.

Yes, just turn on Mobile Data. Top up enough & buy a pack by texting ALL PACKS to 150 & choose 1.

Hi @dande,

Yes, you'll be able to use your data allowance as soon as you've purchased a pack.

@dande : Is the PAYG SIM you've been using abroad an EE SIM or are you intending to buy an EE PAYG SIM when you get here?

It is an EE PAYG SIM I have been using and topping up for several years but only to receive occasional text messages.  Not using data.

When arriving, or prior to arriving, in the UK for a six week stay, I am planning to purchase a Subscription Pack for Data enabling me to access the internet.

Presumably, although the Pack will be available immediately, I will have to turn on Mobile Data?

Many thanks for both responses.
