Hi guys, I have an PAYG som card and want to know how long my card will be alive when abroad in roaming. Some mobile operators state it doesn't matter what you do, even if you top-up your card, after 180 days card will deactivated if it's not connected to base stations/ antennas in UK. So I want to know whats EE terms regarding to this matter, I really do not want to use my number. Thank you.

Within any 179 days You need to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.
If you're roaming you will be using your SIM & paying charges anyway.

Thank you very much for answering.
So until I am toping up my balance and doing chargable action, e.g. calling, my sim card will stay active indefinitely?

Where are you roaming?
To use your pack allowances in the EU on PAYG there are roaming charges of either £2.50 / day, by texting ROAMEU1D to 150, or £10 / week, by texting ROAMEU7D to 150, to be taken only from your PAYG credit, not your recurring card payment. You will receive a msg upon arrival telling you about the charges for roaming in EU. If you opt to text neither or you don't have an active pack, you will be paying standard rates for calls & texts & need to buy a PAYG add-on for data.

If you are roaming in Georgia, as it is not in EU, you cannot use your usual UK allowances there but must be paying the charges or buying roaming add-ons as set out in https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/roaming-costs/countries/georgia > PAYG.

Thanks. So only toping up my balance and doing chargeable actions is not enough? I have to buy add-ons?

No, topping-up and making chargeable actions is enough within every 179 days. I said so in my 1st post.
I thought you said you weren't topping-up or making chargeable actions? In which case, as you are roaming you must be paying the charges or buying roaming add-ons set out in that link.
I think you are misunderstanding the situation here. You said you were roaming there. That means you are actually using your phone & in order to do so you will be paying those charges.
