Receiving texts abroad

I have a PAYG , and am currently in Fiji. I can’t receive texts from my bank in Spain or the Uk. This has led me to be blocked from online banking, and I am now unable to use my accounts!

I need urgent help!

Did you use that PAYG SIM for making calls or texts in UK before you left to go abroad? EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network. If it wasn't you can't now use it until you return to UK.

Thanks for replying to my plea for help…I have had this sim for several years, and never had this problem before.

I use it when back in the UK, and up until now I have always received texts wherever I am in the world.

Are you able to make and receive calls?

I’m using an IPHONE 6…. I haven’t tried phoning as costs too much from Fiji.

If you can receive normal text then your phone should be set up correctly.

Can you try manually connecting to another network?

I still haven’t resolved this problem!

I tested receiving a text from a UK mobile and it worked….but can’t get codes from my banks….HELP!

Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. on Skype over WiFi. It should be free.
