PAYG Packs & Roaming

Nufc1000

I’ve bought a separate SIM to take another handset abroad incase I lose it - I’ve got a query around roaming to ensure it actually works - would appreciate the help.

I’ve topped up with a £20 pack, and get notifications saying I can use my allowance abroad but in other places I read you need to have add-ons or a £2 fixed charge.

Can someone clarify if I can use my pack abroad and I assume if it’s a fixed charge I need to have enough in my account for the days I’m there? Or do I need to purchase an add on to do so.

thanks

@Nufc1000 : The need for add-ons or paying a £2/day charge in EU is only for contracts. It does not apply to PAYG. For the moment there are no extra roaming charges for PAYG in EU. EE has not yet announced if & when they may start. So you may continue to use your pack allowances in EU as before w/out charge.

Make sure you use that PAYG SIM for making calls or texts in UK before you left to go abroad. EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network. If it isn't you can't use it until you return to UK.

Also make sure you make a chargeable action from it within evert 179 days to save it going into hibernation, like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.

@Nufc1000  Your pack allowance will only work within the EU so if your going outside the EU you’ll need credit on your account for calls/texts and you’ll need to purchase a data add on to have data.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
