Received Spam message stating mobile number changed

I manage my mum account and received a text message stating she had changed her mobile number (this is not the case).  Her account may have been hacked.

She also thinks all her contact numbers have changed, but I think they have just been changed from 07XXX to 44 XXX

Any advise please. Do I need to change her number?
