Hi, I last used my EE SIM in Oct 2023...Just landed in London and having majornpriblems getting a 20GB 30 day pack. EE took my payment of £20 for the Top Up, but states there is an error every time I try to buy the Pack. Any ideas appreciated.

...further to above, I am pretty sure my SIM is still active as a small amount of credit still showing. Is there a major issue with Subscription Packs in the App?  Plus the text 150 option will not work for me!

Hi @Rphelps

I'd recommend getting in touch so our customer care team can check the status of your pay as you go account.

If you are unable to call from another device, please visit your local EE Store

@Rphelps : Your PAYG SIM has gone into hibernation after such a long period of non-use. You might just be in time to get it back.

EE PAYG SIMs are deactivated after 6 months of non-chargeable use. You then have a further 3 months period of grace to call EE to reactivate it before it is lost completely.

You needed to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.

Katie_B has the best advice: "go into your local EE store".
I did just that and fortunately met miracle-worker/guide Mehran at Hounslow store. He did better than I hoped: he got Head Office to use my (enforced) £40 credit to put a 1 month plan on my old Galaxy (£20) and on my new Pixel 8 installed a REAL SIM card (replacing silly Airalo data-only e-sim, never OK) for other £20. Both phones work as I wanted. Yippee!
As we Canucks say "thanks  a bunch,  Mehran - merci, mille fois!"
A most satisfied MIKE xx
