I have  a problem with my phone, can't either send texts or make a call, is there any way you could help? I just topped up the phone...

When did you make a chargeable action from that PAYG SIM?

PAYG SIMs are hibernated after 6 months of non-chargeable use, with a further 3 months to reactivate before they are permanently disconnected.
