Hi, I received a text from EE saying that my Pay As You Go number will be disconnected in three months because I haven’t made a chargeable call, text, or used data in six months. I want to keep my number, and I’d like to confirm what exactly counts as a chargeable action. Would sending a single SMS or using a small amount of mobile data be enough to reset the inactivity period? Also, is there a way to extend the deadline if needed? Thanks in advance!

You need to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.
You extend the deadline you have been given to 179 days by making 1 or more of the above chargeable actions.

Examples:
- Chargeable call: Make a call to a UK no. when you have no pack or add-on.
- Chargeable call: Make a call to a non-UK no. even when you have a pack or add-on.
- Chargeable text: Send a Picture Msg (MMS) to someone.
- Top-up: Use Fast Top Up online with a UK bank card. You don't need to login or register anything. All you need is your mobile no. & it doesn't remember your card details.

Hi again, I’ve made a payment on my sim by topping up £10 but calls are still not coming through and I can’t make any calls in return. Do you know why?

Sounds like your PAYG SIM has already gone into hibernation due to non-use. Which figures if you haven't used it for 6 months. If it has, topping-up now would be too late.

So does that mean I won’t be able to get my money back?

Hi, I’ve spent £10 onto my sim but I still can’t make calls or texts. This is probably due to me receiving a text from EE saying that my Pay As You Go number will be disconnected in three months because I haven’t made a chargeable call, text, or used data in six months. And I want to keep my number. I’m not sure if my sim is in hibernation, but I would like to reactivate my number or get a refund.- I can’t make calls due to this situation so I’m unable to talk to someone from EE over call, is there any other way of resolving this problem?

@Tia121 You can make a call for free using something like Skype.
How long ago is it since you made a chargeable call or text?
