Pennies being charged

I'm really intrigued. I have a long standing monthly  £5 PAYG contract with which I am wholly satisfied. I top up quarterly in multiples of £5. At least 3 years ago I was charged £5.82 and my balance since then has always shown  whatever £s +18p. This month, February 2026 the balance remaining is shown as £9.94 instead of £10.18 ie. £5.24 has been deducted. I've not knowingly changed my usage profile, I'm certainly not much of a data user, I'm just intrigued as to just how I have incurred these extra few pence worth of cost. P.S. I didn't understand the extra 82p charge three years ago but never followed it up.

Eh? I make £10.18 - £9.94 just 24p!

Have you sent any MMS (Picture Msgs) or called abroad from UK or called nos. starting 08 or 09? These are not included in your allowance & so are chargeable, sometimes amounting to just a few pence.

I've contacted the support team as suggested. No obvious answer but the Support Team member was really courteous and helpful. Thank you,  and I'll just live with one of life's little mysteries!
