Hi. I recently topped up £10 to my EE account, and after purchasing the £10 pack it still says on the app and on the 150 messaging service that I have £10 topped up with no data. However, I can still use the internet when I turn on my mobile data, so clearly I have the pack activated. Please help.

What does texting AL to 150 from your no. fully report verbatim (it is free)?

You seem to have not bought a pack.

I think the data you are using is the free initial data you get with PAYG, just 50 MB I think.

I’ve tried several times to buy a pack using the credit I topped up with, and when I confirm ‘PACK 10’ on the 150 messaging service, it replies:

Thanks, we've added a £10 Pack. It will start when you first call, text or go online and £10 will come out of your credit. To top up now go to ee.co.uk/topup

You could try sending a text (not to 150) & see if it triggers the pack as it says but if it doesn't it will reduce your credit.

I was thinking of doing something similar, but I don’t want to take the risk of spending my credit since it will cost me more to top up again.

I guess I could continue using the internet with my data on until the 50MB freebie you mentioned runs out, then see from there if I can trigger the pack?

That would seem sensible.
