Pack Purchase Urgent

MandySA

I’ve arrived from South Africa and activated my EE Esim. I loaded £20 so I could purchase a data pack and I’ve done it many times and cannot get data. I’m travelling from London tomorrow and for the rest of the week and urgently need to access data so I can contact my family and receive work emails. I just see an error message on the data pack page

@MandySA : Where you get your EE SIM? How long you had it?

To buy the £20 pack text PACK20 to 150 from it.

EE don't do eSIMs on PAYG.

Thanks for your reply. I bought the Esim at Heathrow airport last October. The eSim is active for 6 months but I was told when I arrived yesterday that I need to “top up” my credit. I loaded £20 at WH Smith then texted “packs” and selected “pack20” and responded “YES” to confirm as instructed yet no pack loads and my balance remains the £20 with no data attached

What response do you receive if you text BALANCE to 150, @MandySA?

James

Is last Oct. 2022 or 2023? It can't be 6 months from Oct. 2023. So it must be Oct. 2022.
6 months from Oct. 2022 takes you to Apr. 2023, 9 months ago.

Sounds like your PAYG SIM has 1st gone into hibernation & then completely deactivated thro' lack of use..

When did you last use it for a chargeable action? EE PAYG SIMs are deactivated after 6 months of non-chargeable use. You then have a further 3 months to call EE to reactivate it before it is lost completely.

You needed to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.
