PAYG Sim Abroad

I am going to Pennsylvania for 22 days and am thinking of buying a sim only payg.  I can see the charges in the EE plan but want to confirm it is £2 per day for using from the USA.  So therefore if I buy say a £30 payg and text roam 150 to EE it is activated.

ALSO - it says you have to have used the phone before? Well I have but with a Vodafone sim (contract) is this still OK to use this phone (sim free) with an EE sim free card.  Sorry to ask so many questions but it is a minefield out there with payg and contract charges

The £2 a day roaming charge applies only to the EU for contracts, not PAYG.

As it is not in EU, you cannot use your usual UK allowances there but will need to pay the charges or buy roaming add-ons as set out in PAYG option of https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/roaming-costs/countries/usa .

PAYG is auto enabled for roaming as long as you've used the SIM in the UK previously.
