Hello,
October 2022 Refer a Friend Promotion for PAYG customers
Can anybody help with the above? I recently moved to EE after I was referred by a friend who's an existing EE customer. Both of us were supposed to receive a £10 Amazon gift card by email, within 7 days of me purchasing a £10 or more PAYG pack. (I purchased the pack on the 20th October).
Countless calls to 150 were a total waste of time as none of them seem to be able to find details of this promotion. I tried the web chat and after lots of back and forth the EE staff member said that they only deal with PAYM customers and I should phone the Digital Services Team?! 2 lies in one: first of all he knew from the start I'm a PAYG customer so why waste my time? The reason he sent me to the Digital Services Team was because he couldn't help! Secondly, of course this is nothing to do with the Digital Services Team as I've been on the phone to them 2 minutes ago and that's what they told me?
As far as I can see from loads of messages on here, EE pretend to have promotions and then don't honour them. Isn't this illegal? Has anybody reported them to the Trading Standards?
Thank you.

My friend received a direct marketing email from EE, with a personalised link to give out to new potential members.

Thanks @bebsana.
The only way to check this would be to contact our Customer Care team.
It may be worth asking your fried to get in touch since they received the email.

I have an email addressed to me confirming I'm going to receive the £10 Amazon gift card. As mentioned in my original post, I did contact the Customer Care team who have been unable to help, they're a pretty useless bunch. I'll log in a complaint and report to the Trading Standards.
