@junesimmons - If you just want to buy just a handset, you are better off buying from other retailers; sim free handsets. Or from the manufactures' website.

When you get your PAYG SIM text STOP PACK to 150 before you ever top-up. Then top-up & pay for any calls & texts out of your credit. You won't/can't be using any data.
