I can't change the subscription pack from my online account for a payg sim.

I use the phone for about 2 weeks at a  time approximatly every other month. A payg sim is a perfect solution. I do not want a recurring subscription or a contract.

I usually want either a £20 or a £30 pack added. But sometimes maybe £15 or even £35.

Unfortunately there is ZERO signal where I live and so I want to add credit before leaving home. EE has very good national coverage and seemed a good choice but I am now thinking of changing because it is so difficult to add a pack without signing up for a subscription. Almost impossible for me because I can't access my phone. In the end I added £35 credit last night and when I checked it had taken £20 for a pack and left £15 credit. NOT WHAT I WANTED TO DO. I have tried to speak to someone but just get a message to call 150 from my phone. Which I can't do. If this happens every time I top up I will have to find another provider.

Any suggestions?

@Jodysdad  Just text stop PACK to 150 before you top up and you'll not use packs again until you decide to have one and it'll be a standard PAYG. Your credit will pay for calls/texts and if you want data you need to purchase a data add on.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Hi @Jodysdad,

Welcome to the Community!

We want to make sure your credit is used as you need it, so I can understand your concern about what has happened here.

Have you tried WiFi Calling, so you can get in touch, even if you don't have signal?

If you activate this then the team will be able to look into changing your current pack to the one you wanted.

@Jodysdad : When you want to change pack text STOP PACK to 150 to stop the current pack renewing. Then top-up & buy the pack you want & it'll start when your existing pack expires. If you want it to start immediately instead text NOW to 150.
