Can someone help me how I can claim back an old number as I am logged out of many of my social media accounts as I cannot confirm myself anymore as it sends it to this number that I do not have any longer! Please help.

Hi there @NaomhEanna
Thanks for coming to the community.
Was the account pay as you go or pay monthly?
When the SIM card was stolen, did you call us to get this blocked and order a new SIM with the same number?
If not, how long ago did you last use the SIM card?
Leanne.

Hi Leanne,
Many thanks for reply.
It was pay as you go sim so just stopped paying for it. Was about 2 years ago and didn't need it anymore until I got my Facebook hacked and I didn't realise this old number was still used on that account to get it unlocked and restored.
Kind regards

@NaomhEanna : Your PAYG SIM would have gone into hibernation due to non-use & then been completely deactivated after 9 months. You can't get your no. back now. You should've reported its loss when it happened, got a replacement & used it occasionally to keep it active.
EE PAYG SIMs are deactivated after 6 months of non-chargeable use. You then have a further 3 months period of grace to call EE to reactivate it before it is lost completely.
You needed to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.
