EU Roaming charges 6th June 2023 Query

So I got a text back in April from EE stating that from 6th June 2023, they will be introducing charges to EU roaming - £2.50 per day or £10 for a week.

I recently upgraded to a £20 subscription pack (50gb data, unlimited minutes and texts). I'm going away on the 8th June... therefore I was just wondering if anyone knows if the above roaming charges will apply to me or not? If so, how do we specify what charge we want etc. ?

Cheers in advance

@eetom21 : Those charges will apply from 6th June whenever you bought your PAYG pack or SIM.

The choice of which charge will apply will be announced nearer the time & will probably appear in your MyEE.

Hi @Blue27,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Hi @XRaySpeX,

@Blue27 will automatically receive a text message to opt in to a roaming add-on when they connect to a roaming network.

James

Is this actually working? I got a text when I came into Spain and I text ROAMEU7D to 150 but no idea if it went through or not?? My internet does actually seem to work but looks like no credit has been taken off me so slightly concerned I’ll be getting charged elsewhere?

Hi @eetom21

How long ago did you send the text?

Is the add-on showing in your My EE account?

Leanne 🙂

Like nearly an hour ago now? My data seems to be working still though which is strange. I can see an option on My ee app to add it on though?
