Hello,

My pay as you go number which i have since around 2014/2015 was disconnected from the EE network and i am told i have lost the number,

I have a bank statement showing my topup on middle May.

This number was used to 2FA etc. and i need this number back.

Please, could someone from EE help with this.

I had no call from EE. No text saying this would be done or asking me i wanted to move the number to a contract.

This number was an EE business number a company i worked for allowed me to keep.

The phone was on and connected to the network.

Thank you,

Sounds like your PAYG SIM has gone into hibernation. Topping-up now would be too late.

When did you previously use it for a chargeable action? EE PAYG SIMs are deactivated after 6 months of non-chargeable use. You then have a further 3 months to call EE to reactivate it before it is lost completely.

You needed to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.

Update:

EE CS got back to me and it looks like they can get the number working again.

So far EE CS has been great.

Hi @mrphoneguy
Thanks for popping back with an update.
I'm pleased to hear our customer service team was able to help get your number back up and running.
To avoid this happening again, make sure to use it for some chargeable activity once every 6 months as @XRaySpeX mentioned.
You can find out more about pay as you go hibernation here.
Leanne.
