Calling from abroad

I am currently abroad and I took my phone off airplane mode to check for messages and I inadvertently called a number which was a spam call and the phone was left on for over an hour while I went for breakfast. No conversation took place and when I returned there was an automated message which I heard which brought it to my attention. Will I be charged for this call?
