Unable to get free watch data that's included in my plan

I would like to know if anybody else has been told that they cannot get the free watch data that is included in their mobile plan.

I have the Full works tariff that includes free watch data. I have just got a Galaxy Watch 7 so contacted EE to get the free watch data activated. I have been told that this inclusive benefit is subject to status and I cannot get another line on my account.

I have 3 lines with EE, all of which have plans that include free watch data but I am unable to get this on any of them.

There is no mention on the EE website about any credit status requirements, both the website and terms and conditions states that to be eligible you just need a compatible watch and an eligible phone plan, nothing about additional credit status.

Surely it is misleading to advertise a free inclusive benefit that is then only available to certain people based on credit status. To take full advantage of free watch data that I have 3 eligible plans I would been to have the credit status to have 6 lines. Seriously how many people qualify for 6 lines.

@Rich1503  You setup the watch plan via the ware app it’ll say it’s £7 per month but because you have that particular tariff you will not be charged the £7 and instead of the 10Gb for data fir the watch you’ll get unlimited data.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

As I have mentioned i have been told I cannot do this.  It requires credit status for an additional line.

@Rich1503    Have you tried via the watch app ?    What happens when you try ?    And yes it is an additional line on your account so subject to a credit check even though it’s offered within your phone tariff for you to have this.    Any additional line on your account is subject to a credit check.

Yes i tried through the watch and app first. That told me in not eligible so I called customer services. It was customer services that told me its subject to credit status and I'm not eligible for more lines as I already have 3 so I can't get the watch data

@Rich1503  when did you take out this tariff? And are you a new customer of EE ?

Yes i am a new customer. I recently took out broadband and then 3 mobile plans as they were discounted with the broadband.

@Rich1503  That will be why.  Once you have paid 1 maybe 2 bills for the sim contracts you’ll then be able to take out the watch contract.   Even through you get this included with that tariff it’s still subject to credit checks as it is after all an additional line on your account and you are a new customer.

As I first mentioned. There is nothing on their website or in the terms and conditions that this inclusive free benefit is subject to any credit status. That's what the problem is

@Rich1503  But it’s still an additional line that will result in a credit check even though you do get this as part of your sim tariff, it’s still a request for an additional line and as you’ve not been a customer that long you cannot add additional lines just yet.     The discount for the watch ie the £7 per month normal charge is only applied once you have passed the credit check for an additional line and at present being a new customer you just cannot get an additional line.    It’s crazy I know but it’s still require’s  a credit check for it.

Have you been billed and paid that bill for the sim contracts ?  Once you do you should then be able to add the watch tariff.   It’ll go through and it’ll look like you are setting up a watch tariff for £7 but you’ll get that £7 discounted and the unlimited data for the watch and not the standard 10gig because if the sim tariff.
