iphone 16 pro max order tracker not working

Ordered my iPhone 16 pro max on the 18th, and received my order number. However, whenever I try to track the order it says Sorry, you can't track this order type just yet. I've rang ee and they said my order has gone through.

@hasnain_134  You received a order number and until a device is allocated to you you’ll not receive a tracking number.  

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

will I get an email when the device is allocated to me?

I ordered my phone 16 PM on the 14th and when I checked order update it says estimated delivery between 27th sept and 1st October. So it’s probably because there’s not a device ready yet

Once you have a handset assigned to you, you'll receive a text from DPD to the mobile number provided as the contact for the order.

This will give you all the details you need for tracking it through the DPD app and website.
