Hi, basically on Friday around 2:00 pm I’ve preordered an iPhone duo star white 1 TB paid in full NO CONTRACT my tracking number start with EE- so into the app says “DPD Usually dispatched within 14 days“ however on the confirmation e mail says: “ Available to order. Expect despatch in more than 28 days“ while when I was purchasing was “ available on launch day” what happened in between? When should I have to expect the delivery?  @Alex_H  thank you

The delivery times for phones that were pre-ordered would have depended on what memory size and colour option you went for.

Could you tell me a bit more about your second point please? Do you mean that you changed the order the day after an order was placed?

I can certainly let you know what the wait time would be if you placed an order today.

Which memory size and colour would you want to order?

Thanks for responding - I’m specifically interested in the 512Gb in Night Sky.

I ordered online on 16th and received an xko number and confirmation within a few minutes, however was contacted on 17th and was told there was a ‘problem’ (although they couldn’t tell me what the problem was) and then they tried to upsell me broadband or change to a different plan. I stated I wanted to continue with my original order, but then had to go through all the confirmation and ts and cs again, and was then issued a different order number, with a different delivery estimate. So I didn’t change the order, but I’m concerned that despite this the order was changed  by the customer services person and that the new order will dictate my dispatch date. I’m therefore trying to establish whether the xko order number or the new 006 order number will be used (as I strongly suspect that this will dictate whether I receive the device on launch day as originally told).

Sorry to chase but I wondered whether you were able to advise on this please. For reference (to save you looking back through the whole thread!) the questions were:

1. What the ‘cut off’ order time was to receive the Duo on launch day (update: specifically for a Night Sky 512Gb). 

2. Where the original online order resulted in an xko order number, and then had to be confirmed the following day resulting in a changed order number (starting 006) which date / time will be used to determine dispatch date? 

3. What would be the estimated delivery date for an order made now (again, for Night Sky 512Gb)?

A chat agent showed me a screenshot of their internal system and it showed:

• Ordered before 1.55pm = launch day delivery
• Ordered before 5:20pm = delivery within 21 days of launch
• Ordered after 5:20pm = delivery is 28+ days
