iPhone 14 Pro Max - estimated delivery date removed from order update

Hi,

I've been regularly checking my order update.  For last 10 day's it's said expected delivery between 28th-30th September.

As of yesterday it now says "Awaiting confirmation"!  What does this mean?

DPD will be in touch with you when it's ready to be delivered. Thanks for your patience so far, hopefully you'll hear from them soon.

Thanks for your reply Chris.  I'm just trying to work out from the status change if dispatch is imminent, or if it's been delayed and now no estimated date at all?

It could be that the estimated time has changed, @CharlotteH2. If that's the case, it should show up with a new estimate soon.

The current estimate for new orders of that model is 28 days. They're sent out on a first come, first served basis, clearing the oldest orders first.

This is absolutely the worst reply possible. I've seen it quite a few threads now. 

Palming everything off to DPD. You're in charge of dispatching and allocating stock and making sure there is enough stock for everyone that ordered. And also letting people know when they have been allocated stock, and when it will be dispatches. DPD just do the last leg from you to my door. 

I have never received worse service than from EE during this ordering time. I will not be renewing with EE again, and I'll probably cancel my order.

I'm sorry to hear that, @HannahAtkinson. That wasn't my intention at all.

We try our best to give realistic timescales at the point of order. We send them out in the order in which they were placed. DPD get in touch with you the morning of, or day before delivery, that's when you know exactly when it's going to arrive. Those are the main points that I wanted to get across.

If you would like to discuss or amend your specific order, I would suggest speaking to our Mobile Care team.

It's hardly EE's fault. They can only forecast based on what apple tells them and sends them. Every UK network is having the same issues. As is always the case every year with iPhone launches.

Mine has changed from 28th - 30th September to awaiting confirmation too, just have to be patient. No need to slam EE for it though as it is out there control currently. 

It's clear that you work for ee with your comment or at least you hope to speed up your delivery for positive feedback...

It's all ee fault, it should be illegal to selling something what's not available yet.

EE doesn't care about customers only profit important. 

Complete lack of updates on current orders and sending customers back to DPD - pathetic...

@AdiZone82  EE haven’t sold you anything “yet” you’ve only ordered a product and placed yourself in a queue to receive said product.
you’ve given an upfront cost to go towards the purchase of that product. Your monthly bill then continues that payment for that product as you’ve got that product on credit.  

Bur If you think you’ve purchased it have you started to pay for that item you’ve purchased. 


And as aways when someone doesn’t like a comment that means that person works for EE or wants something.( lol )    This public forum has no influence over anyone’s order.  

 You’ll get the device once one can be allocated to you as a device of the specifications that you ordered is available and you are next is the system for that device.   Please remember it’s just a phone and next year there will be a replacement for it.

FYI, I got DPD notification at 7am this morning and phone was delivered about 20 mins ago.  So I'm happy it's been delivered, but the comms weren't great!
