Why is it so difficult to just take out a contract? You have to register then link a mobile, I’m not with EE so I can’t, so then you have to link broadband, again not with EE do I can’t, then join EE community which I’ve done but still won’t let me shop. I hate it here.

You've done it in the wrong order. To buy a contract phone or SIM you don't start off by registering to MyEE until you've bought something. Then you can register it to EE.

Now you have registered, logout of your MyEE before going to the EE Shop. It expects you to already have an EE mobile phone or SIM contract.
