Terrible service from ee and DPD

I’ve received absolutely terrible service on my new iPhone delivery. After preordering and waiting weeks, I finally got a message that it would be delivered. I rearranged my plans to be in but no delivery. At the end of that day, the information updated to say they tried to deliver (they didn’t, I was there). I expected another delivery attempt the next day but then it updated to say it was being returned to ee. I contacted ee and they said they couldn’t do anything and my order would be cancelled and I would need to reorder and wait another 28 days. They had no proper escalation process and pretty much went straight to it being an unresolved complaint that I now need to raise with trading standards. I also spoke to dpd and couldn’t even complain. They kept telling me to talk to ee or to raise a complaint via there chat service, which just kept repeating that my parcel is being returned to ee. So I’m left with no phone and no way to complain - absolutely disgraceful service all around!!

@Poorservice3000  the problem is with DPD not EE,  with a failed delivery the device is returned back to EE and EE can not just send it back out again.  There is a returned procedure that has to be followed for none delivered item.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

They are doing same thing to me since 5 days , I have seen more cases like this reported on reddit . So the fault lies with EE to use their service .

@Neeraj216   Care to link to them on Reddit?  I’ve just search for anything recently and the best I can find it’s about 1 month ago and it wasn’t a failed delivery.

The issue doesn’t lie with EE because it’s using DPD,   Any courier service could do the same and then I suppose it will be EE’s fault for using that service wouldn’t it.
