Samsung galaxy z fold 4 preorders

Hi alldo anyone know if we sending out preorders early like samsung.com are. They sending out preorders 5 days early on 21st September

Oh hahaha I thought it was the reference number ooops. 😅 still nothing here. I pre ordered on the 11th at 9am so hopefully the notification comes through soon. I live in Scotland so not sure if that makes a difference or not.

Just had and update via the DPD app that my fold4 from EE has been received but no news from EE themself's

i am not sure if it makes any difference what cities people live in. When it was the fold 3 pre orders, other cities had it first and i ended up get a dpd notification later on in the evening. 

Just keep your eye on the DPD app.

EE don't actually have the phones. They never do when it comes to pre-orders like ours. Can you imagine the logistic nightmare it would be sending the phones from Samsung to EE and then from EE to individual customers?

DPD pick the phones up from Samsung and keep them in a warehouse. As and when we pre-order, EE sends DPD the instruction to release a unit and send it to the customer so that it gets delivered on the release date.

Should EE decide to bring the release date forward for whatever reason (e.g. because Samsung have done so themselves), then pre-orders placed from that point onwards will have the new, earlier release date in the instructions for DPD. This explains why people ordering later have already had their phones delivered while those of us who ordered earlier are still stuck with the Friday 26th delivery date.

The DPD app is more accurate than the EE app or EE status. My EE status still still says order confirmed and that is it. My DPD app states item received. (i did also get a little note stating delivered 26 August, which as disappeared) 

I can still see my tracking details. So when my item is out for delivery i will still be able to track it.

I still don't have nothing on dpd app or ee app 😪 everyone here has got notifications from dpd haha. Hopefully it comes through by 11am. My dpd driver normally delivers packages at 4pm we don't really get to pick time slots where I am. Did everyone get to pick a time slot for tomorrow?

Just to let people know, we ordered 2 at the same time. We are only receiving 1 tomorrow and the other is now back ordered as they are out of stock with an expected delivery time of 7-14 days. This is from EE confirmed this morning.

Frustrating as the website still says tomorrow.

You don't get to pick a time slot. If you order direct from Samsung you can pick morning or afternoon, but that's it. DPD have 'x' number of deliveries to make in a given area. If people start dictating when they want their deliveries, it would become impossible for DPD to make everyone happy. So, you get the one-hour slot that DPD give you.
