i was called by EE yesterday & this person put me on a 24 month contract to pay by direct debit.

I only pay my rent by direct debit & i want to cancel this contract so I can just top up in store only with cash and I hate contracts please help me. 

plus the call from EE it was so low volume & my phone was at the max volume and I want to stay with EE but no contracts or calling me when there is a deal.

All returns are now processed online at Return a device or SIM bought within the last 14 days

Don't worry, you'll not lose your number when you are reverting back to your previous set-up.
