Order taking longer than expected - Google Pixel Pro 8

Ordered a week ago and heard absolutely nothing since regarding delivery. Called and was told the model was 'in demand' - strange for a phone that released in October last year. 

Is anyone having a similar issue? A colleague ordered one a few weeks ago and had it the next day...

Hi, 

I ordered the black model, 256gb of memory. When I made the order, nothing was mentioned about it taking longer than expected.
