New customer problems

Have just tried to join EE on contact for iPhone 14. Did all online and all ok. Then had email to say call EE and was told they couldn’t honour the BT customer deal as I failed the credit check. I have had phones for years have a mortgage not moved for 5 years and have never had credit problems. Just checked equifax excellent score. The person on the phone said it was my job to email them to try and resolve the issue? Not sure this is a great way to attract new customers.

Hi @Hampshireinnit

Welcome to the community.

Sorry to hear that there was a problem with the credit check. If your score is good, you can dispute it with our Mobile Care team who will be able to look into it further with you.

Chris

Morning, I have against my better judgement emailed the dispute team. But to be honest I’m not going to beg to be a customer of EE if my first ever experience is as bad as this. I was going to move my phone and my two children’s phones across from Three. The only reason I was moving from Three is that when working in London the network coverage is rubbish whereas my work mobile on EE seems better. Anyway I won’t hold my breath for a reply from your “care” team. Thanks
