Iphone 16 pro- 16 pro max pre order thread/that time of the year again

Hello everyone in the ee community it’s that time again of the year placing and tracking the new iPhone 16 and 16 pro max’s orders and especially since a few years with delay issues with ee 😂 and then ringing them up and patiently waiting for that DPD notification I love this time of the year, so everyone I have created this thread and everyone stay posted in this thread don’t follow any other thread keep this one running guys if we keep each other updated then hopefully we get the iPhone this year on time on release day.

I ordered just after 1pm last Friday. 1TB Pro Max in Desert Titanium. They told me I’d get it on launch day. I called up an earlier today just to check as I haven’t heard anything since the order confirmation. They assured me that yes, I’d get the phone tomorrow. Still nothing. The frustrating thing is that I’m self-employed and haven’t booked any work in tomorrow to make sure I’m here at whatever time DPD deliver.

well, disappointed by EE again.  No texts from either EE or DPD and the Order Status is only at the first stage.  My contract is still the same too.

The silver lining from this dark cloud is that in approx 6-days EE will have no choice but to refund the £300 they charged me for the ‘alleged’ early upgrade on pre-order day!!

So, highly disappointing outcome after 4 hours on the internet trying my very best to land my new shiny device on Pre-order Day, but at least I can get the £300 refund without any argument from EE!!

Seems like unless there is a flurry of late updates, there is going be alot of people who was under the impression they would get it tomorrow who won't. Ee will cover themselves by saying it gets delivered from the 20th but still

If it’s any consolation to those who haven’t got a DPD text. I requested mine for October specifically knowing. I live in northern Scotland and DPD is two day delivery so it wouldn’t be launch day. They sent me a text at 6:30am to say it had been dispatched. Now if Donald delivers it tomorrow I’ll be very pleased. But if by my expectations it’ll be Monday then it’ll just have to wait for a few weeks and hope it doesn’t get lost at the depot!

Just to add I phoned them up again this evening to ask about the Anytime upgrade, one person said no we don’t do it anymore so I’ve asked them to raise a case and listen to the phone call because I asked 5 times and the guy on pre order day said yes I’d get it. They then put me onto someone else and I asked him to send all the documentation through because last week I had to verbally agree as the link they usually send you to sign wasn’t working, he sent me one and it states on there about anytime upgrade, I’ve signed it now and saved it, date stamped both phone calls from last week and today so I’ve got proof that they’ve either mis-sold it to me or I’ve got a signed contract by both parties stating I am eligible for the Anytime upgrade. So next year will be interesting when I’ve got all of this to go back to from them.

I was promised launch day delivery when placing an order for the Pro Max but haven't yet had a delivery update from DPD. 

If they fail to deliver it today, I'll buy it outright through Apple and buy a service plan elsewhere.

I've been with EE since 2010 and they've gotten progressively worse across all areas. Even in central London I seem to suffer more with data dark spots than friends on other networks.

I ordered mine on 14th and was surprised when I was told it would be here on launch date tbh. It’s disappointing that for people who ordered on launch day they still look like to be missing out. 

to be honest it’s somewhat expected. EE will blame Apple and Apple will blame supply chain. And we will do it all again next year!  I’m annoyed because I actually had the chance to order one for pick up at a local store which I ignored after being told this would be here on launch. Looking at my order update it just says ins awaiting confirmation under estimated delivery. In other words it aint today!
