Iphone 16 pro- 16 pro max pre order thread/that time of the year again

Hello everyone in the ee community it’s that time again of the year placing and tracking the new iPhone 16 and 16 pro max’s orders and especially since a few years with delay issues with ee 😂 and then ringing them up and patiently waiting for that DPD notification I love this time of the year, so everyone I have created this thread and everyone stay posted in this thread don’t follow any other thread keep this one running guys if we keep each other updated then hopefully we get the iPhone this year on time on release day.

I guess it’ll be one o’clock on Friday, the system will undoubtedly crash, so you’ll have agents on the phone unable to help, and be unable to get onto the site. I can’t wait! It’s the most wonderful time of the year, especially when the DPD app buzzes to tell you that they’ve got your parcel!

I know this thread is for the iPhone which hopefully will be 1pm on Friday but does anyone know about the Apple Watch? It’s usually in a Friday as well but Apple has said preorders start today so wondering when we’ll be able to pre order the new Apple Watches, looking at getting the ultra 2 in black.

Those who preordered last year - does the upgrade fee for you still show up as £100? I know the contract hits 12 months on 21st Sep if you got it on release day last year, but any chance this would be waived off if we preorder the new phones this year? Iirc upgrade anytime fees drop to £0 at the end of 12 months, so kinda scam to pay £100 for a phone delivered on 20th this time with 1 day to go.

I’m on anytime upgrade, so don’t pay a fee, just trade in my 15 Pro. What’s everyone going to go for? I’m going to go for the Pro 256gb in black titanium.

Well tbh,  im a bit annoyed.

My anytime upgrade still states £300 to upgrade. After last years mess up.. i had to take a diff color so i could actually get the phone. so i cannot even pre order. I've got to wait until the end of October.

And to top it all off. EE has now stopped doing the anytime upgrade .

They wiped my £300 upgrade fee as long as I was within 1 month as they realise people want to get onto the list to preorder. Not sure if they will do that this year. Might have to bend a few arms and state how much I spend to get that this year. Never know might have a decent CS who will do it automatically as I’ll be upgrading 2 iPhone Pro Max and an Apple Watch Ultra. 
im sure they will do the annual upgrade it’s just a case of asking as I noticed all the offers now are based on flexi-pay not on our old terms. So I believe you have to call up if you want the old terms and there are “VIP offers” to be had for long term members of annual upgrade programme as I’m led to believe from various sources in and around the EE stratosphere. But you HAVE to call. You cannot do this online or In store.

If you phone and complain they will wipe it for you. I phoned up on Friday and said I’m not paying it as it was down as to why my contact was later than usual. You pay a lot of money to them every year and if you waited you wouldn’t end up paying anyway.
