How long until a sim upgrade becomes active?

I have just upgraded my sim contract, how long until it is active please? I have an active e sim.

@LMu  Was this a sim only contract to a newer sim only contract?   If yes it should take no longer than 24 hours to change to the new contract.  

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Active this morning.  Thank you for your reply.  It was a sim only to an upgraded sim only.
