EE iPhone delivery shenanigans

Cancelled my never ending order of the iPhone Pro Max Burgundy 512gb and completed an order over the phone by 13:30pm today. The website still states expected for launch date, but an advisor on the phone just told me 30days. 🤯

@Raven52 , it depends how much stock EE receive and they are sent out on a first come first serve basis, so as you only ordered yesterday, it could be up to 30 days, but may be sooner, depending when EE receive stock. It probably is the same as on Apple’s website, but you are welcome to see if you can get it sooner from Apple, if you so wish and then cancel the order from EE, it is a new phone and very popular, so that would be the delay, this happens every year, and is down to Apple sending these phones out, not just to EE but other companies and stores too.

Just make sure that you have the DPD app in order to receive update and the PIN number, which you have to produce to the driver before receiving your new phone.

Hi @Schockwave I appreciate you taking the time to respond to my message. But I am not certain you actually read what I said. It does read like a copy and paste.

@Raven52 , I have not copy and pasted it, I took the time and wasted time to type to your thread.

Hi @Schockwave

I wasn't trying to be dismissive of your time. I appreciated you reaching out. My point was simply that the details were off for my situation:

Order timing: I completed my order within 30 minutes of launch on the of 16/10, not "yesterday."

Core issue: The issue isn't missing the initial order window, but that EE's website explicitly states "expected for launch date" while the phone advisor quoted 30 days.

Also advising me to go and try Apple to see if I can get it sooner. Is besides the point. The phone was still actively showing as expect for launch day, well after my order was confirmed.

I came to the forum to see if others are getting this exact system contradiction from EE, not to waste anyone's time.
