Upgrade issue/cancellation

Hi I’m looking for a bit of advice, I placed an order earlier today(16/10/26) at around 14:00. For a likely in demand phone the iPhone duo. I completed the order with a 40% discount on the selected plan(iPhone full works).

completed relevant credit checks, which have been added not report. Received confirmation email.

I tried to check status of order but had no luck. I contacted the online chat team at around 18:00 to see if there was any issue. Shortly after connecting to a member of the team to discuss the issue I received an email saying order cancelled. With no reason.

what has annoyed me most is that I’m about to go through the house buying process and I want to keep any hard checks to a minimum. So to have one added and to not be receiving the phone is a bit of a joke. I was advised to contact 150 to re order but the say they’re unable to add original discount and that it needs to be done online. However when trying to make a new order it  now states discount code cannot be applied. I’ve tried a number of codes, all the same issue.

if when I applied the ordinal code I was told it was invalid I wouldn’t have applied and no hard credit check…

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Leeg123nufc

You have had more than one hard check if you applied more than once.

I am surprised you get that discount on that device. I would suggest moving on and try again in 6 month, focus on buying the house and check your credit files.

Thanks

I’ve applied once. Had one check added to file. Like I say order was confirmed had confirmation through. Then a cancellation 4 hours later. The discount wasn’t for the handset. Just the actual plan.
