DPD - two failed attempts but i was home

I was expecting a DPD delivery of my new upgrade two days ago. I was at home in the front room right by the front door. 20 mins after my supposed 1 hour window i had a text to say sorry we missed you and a picture from the end of my drive of my house.

the driver didnt knock or press the bell. Today the same thing happened only the driver didnt even get out of the van and took a picture from inside the van saying sorry we missed you.

 

called DPD and they have said the drivers do everything possible to make a delivery yet my ring doorbell shows that nothing was attempted.

 

what can i do? Ee have said ill have to let them return it and then try again.

@Violetlucy2000  There’s nothing you can do until the device has been processed as a failed to deliver.       Take the delivery time slot with a pinch of salt I’ve had my last 2 EE DPD deliveries 15 minutes before the timeframe and the DPD app that shows the location of the van showing it 15 deliveries away from mine.

I am having the same trouble myself now. I have been home twice now and twice no one has knocked and dpd have sent me a message and a pic saying no one was home at that time even though I was. I live in shared accom as well and tenants didn’t hear the door knocking either. I know they say they try twice this is the 3rd time today and my time is between 7am and 22.00 hrs tonight. I have left a message for the driver asking if she could call me when outside but I don’t know if they do this. Never had trouble with deliveries only dpd

I'm sorry to hear that you've had some problems with your delivery. I'm not sure if it's part of DPD's service to call you, but hopefully they find a way to deliver your package this time.
