DPD PIN issue

It seems like I have the same PIN issue as a lot of other EE customers when trying to receive a new phone delivery from DPD.  No PIN code or tracking information to either email or text.

My situation is that my Pixel 4 died, so went in to EE store and signed up for new phone to be delivered to home next day.  Have put my sim card into an old iPhone 6 so that i can at least send/receive emails and texts.  But....I'm able to receive and send to everyone else, including other businesses, apart from DPD.  I'm not receiving anything at all from them, including the PIN code, to either my email or texts.  All other texts/emails are fine.

I have tried logging on to the DPD App, as I've seen people suggest in previous posts on here.  However, when you first sign up to it, it sends a 6 digit code to your mobile - i didn't receive this either, so was not able to sign into the App.  I have tried it several times and now locked out of the App from too many attempts!  It's telling me to try again later 😞

DPD have now tried to deliver the phone 2 days in a row, unsuccessfully due to lack of PIN.  Today i managed to get the parcel number off the delivery guy and have rescheduled it again for tomorrow in the hope i can somehow get the DPD App to work and find the elusive PIN code.

In all honesty, this system should not be used for new phones.  For a lot of people, you're getting a new phone because your old one is broken, stolen, etc.  and so you don't necessarily have access to texts or have an old phone that you can use. It's unnecessarily stressful.

But if anyone has any other suggestions for getting the PIN code, i'd really appreciate it!

@karbon72  If you have setup a DPD account you can get this pin on there.     You have internet access so I’m assuming you can setup an online account. 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Thanks, i tried it but there are no parcels or pin details on there. It really is the most frustating situation.  I'm in a Whatsapp chat with DPD customer services and will see if they can help sort this out before the third attempted delivery tomorrow.....

The reason it wasn't working was my old device I was using didn't work with the DPD notifications. Couldn't get the pin via the DPD app on either the old phone or my tablet. 

The only thing that worked for me was that the DPD driver sent a missed delivery text on the second attempt and then I was able to rearrange the delivery from the link in that text. Once it had been rearranged, I was able to click on the link in the text and the PIN eventually appeared in the link.

Hi. Hope you problem was solved.

For customers with the same issue. Check that your RCS messages are on. If they off you don't receive messages from some businesses. To turn it on in android phone you have to press messages icon then go to right top corner of the screen, press the face icon. Then go to messages settings, turn the RCS on.
