Hi,
Just pre-ordered an iPhone 16 instore yesterday, which I now need to cancel. I paid the £30 upfront fee. The phone won't be delivered/shipped to the store until 20th September.
I've rang to cancel. However, I've been told I need to do this instore as I placed the order instore.
Can people confirm if this is true? Or if I can cancel over the phone. Apologies, it just seemed like the customer service person wasn't quite sure so I want to confirm doubly.
Also, will I be refunded the upfront fee of £30?

Hello @TS2502 ,
Welcome to the community,
That is correct, as you ordered from a high street store, you need to cancel by going there and dealing with them.
Yes, you will get a refund.

I just went instore and they said they can return the iPhone when it gets delivered to the store. But they cannot cancel it right now.
Is this correct? Or is it possible to cancel the pre-order without having to wait for it to be delivered to the store first?

@TS2502 , if the store says that, then I suppose that is what you will have to do wait until delivered then cancel.
