Xbox game pass still subscribed after account cancellation

Hi,

I left EE some time ago (well over a year) and today I discover on my Xbox that game pass is still present.

I'm unable to cancel this via Microsoft and my EE account has no active service and shows errors in places.

How can I get this cancelled fully? I have not used my Xbox since the EE cancellation

We have no account access here on the community, to get this looked into we would recommend calling our customer care team

I don't believe EE have a solution for this specific problem. The usual process to deactivate the subscription either wasn't followed or ran into an issue. By then, the EE account is deactivated, so the Customer Care team can do nothing about it.

I think others as well as myself have probably experienced this trying to contact that team and I still have the problem many months later.

To be fair, Microsoft's answer is "talk to EE" so they're equally incapable. It's a black hole of a problem that no-one wants to fix by the sounds of it.

Hi,

I am having the same problem. Cancelled my EE sim only contract in December which had the Game Pass perk, called EE in January as I noticed the Xbox Game Pass was still active, they said it would cancel after a month or so of ending the contract. Realised it was still active recently and called the mentioned 0800 number, but the customer service rep said that my account is closed with nothing outstanding, that they cannot cancel or deactivate this and it needs to be done via Microsoft, who also can't do anything.

Like everyone else, I do not want to be hit with a bill for something I have no control over.

Please help.

I'm still enjoying a free Xbox subscription because they won't sort
themselves out. Tired of mentioning it. I'm not paying anyone money as it's
their error affecting everyone who took the perk. They should browse these
posts!

Hello, 

I have the exact same issue. I've already called the support twice but nothing. Still have free game pass🥲

I just hope I don't get billed at some point in the future.
