Hello,
I currently have a phone monthly contract. I want to now upgrade to sim only, however I have a friends & family code which can not be applied if you are going from phone to sim only monthly.
If I take out a new sim contract with (EE) and get a new number, can I cancel my old phone EE contract with my old number, and transfer that number to my new sim? I know you can easily do it with providers, but unsure when it’s EE to EE.
thank you, Helen

EE won't port nos between its contracts. So you need to 1st port your existing no to another network's PAYG using a PAC from EE & then in reverse port it back to your new contract. This will also have the effect of cancelling your old contract.
You could alternatively move your old contract to PAYG with 30 days notice & then ask EE to transfer the no to your new contract.
To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

@Hhhhelenscott Providing that Sim only deal doesn’t have any discounts on it you can use the F&F discount on it. I’m sure it only has to be over £17 per month to have a F&F applied to it
