@Adam200972 : You cannot buy an accessory online unless you already have a mobile phone or SIM contract from EE. You are expected to pay for it along with your existing EE mobile plan. However you may order these glasses from any EE Store & if they don't have them in they will get them from another who does.

This is stupidest system as EE are the only current official providers and therefore should allow purchase of such items without a need to buy other items beforehand!!

They do! From an EE store.

The stores dont sell them, when you contact store they say you can only order these online...so its an impossible loop to buy these if you dont already have a deviceplan with EE.

Yes this is so pointless EE, frustrating website tells you one thing In store tells you another. You should just be able to order online with minimal effort, for a communication company they are failing to communicate.

I've been trying for over a month to get hold of a pair, tries 3 different stores that say (when they know what your actually after) that they cannot be ordered in store as they are not visible on the list of stuff that can be ordered. Customer service are just chocolate teapots, been arguing with them for weeks and they change their advice every time they answer. Been in touch with Nreal themselves, they say that they cannot do anything as EE are sole distributors for he UK, I pointed out that they were in breach of the sole distributor agreement as they were only allowing customers to buy them, Nreal said they were aware of the situation and were in constant dialogue with EE. I have now reported  EE to trading standards for forcing unfair conditions on buying these glasses and have told customer services all of this, the latest response today was

"Hello Tony

Thank you for your response.

I have sent feed-back off to see if we can update it on the website so anyone is able to purchase these glasses. However at the moment, it seems they are just available to customer's who are already on EE. I'm sure this will be updating at some point in the future but in the meantime, there is no other way around this sadly. Please keep an eye out though as this may become available to you soon."

This is where I am at the moment, frustrated as hell, especially as they have just been dropped to £340, sorry for the ran but EE are so frustrating to deal with, they know they are not acting fair but will not fix a simple problem.

Hi @tonytattoos,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties making your purchase.

If you can get back to your local store, please mention that they can order the glasses via their Sales Plus system.

Hope this helps.

James

That post of mine was very abbreviated, I've told 3 stores how they can be ordered but 2 of them just looked at me as if I was talking double dutch

My local shop in Basildon was the only shop that actually knew what they were, I spent an hour yesterday trying to buy them outright, the guy was trying to be as helpful as possible and said in the end that "if it does not appear on his tablet he can't order it" and he showed me there was no entry for the glasses, but he did go on to say that the bigger stores do have a bigger inventory to pick from, but he did not sound convincing about the other shops.
