I recently upgraded to a new Samsung device, which was offering £300 cashback, but I looked up as to how I would claim the cashback, and it had ended on the 20th. Before finding out about this I went through with the purchase, but it was glitching in and out of the cashback offer and seems to now be the Chromebook 4. I have checked the reviews on this product, and many were happy customers, but they were all from Argos. The customers who bought it directly or received it for free described how bad the product was, and the only relatively good point was the speed. It's not the offer that I wanted, but I now don't have a choice, and I called customer services, who then sent me the link to claim the free product after realising the mistake their website made. I really don't think this product will be ideal for what I would need it for so can I get compensation for it or do I just have to cancel my contract and wait for the chance of a new offer? It just seems really unfair that the free product would be so bad when looking at the reviews, with many saying that they were glad they didn't pay for it or others who purchased it, saying that it is not worth the price and said you would be better off with a tablet at the same price or less. What should I do? If I can return it, will I get some kind of monetary compensation or even an ee gift card at the same value? Either way, it doesn't look like a good offer in comparison to the cashback.
