EE refusing to add perk code discount.

Hi,

I took out an addition line a couple of days ago and I would like to add a perk code discount which will give me 20% off the monthly bill. I called 150 today and the two different agents I spoke to refused to add the perk discount. They said that you can only add a perk code at the point of sale. Is this true?

What is also odd is that I have multiple lines on my account with Perk codes, and they were all added after the sale with no problem. I am thinking of returning the phone now as I am unable to get the 20% discount....

No, Discount codes may be applied by calling CS within 30 days of purchase if it wasn't at PoS when buying a new contract or upgrading. They cannot be applied mid-term.

The Perk discount can only be added through ee.co.uk and must be done by entering the code in the voucher code box at checkout.

If you ordered online, our customer support team may be able to help you organise a return so that you can re-order with a Perk discount code.

It's only been 4 days since I took out the contract so I wondering if I have to return the phone now...

That's strange because I have seen people add codes within the first couple of days of taking out the contract...
