Can a BLC discount be added retrospective?
The cost is actually now horrendous and did not know this was an offer

@KAZADA You have up to 30 days after taking out the contract to call customer support to have a BLC discount applied. It’s not possible to have this discount applied after 30 days.

Hi @KAZADA
Welcome to the Community.
Any Blue Light discounts must be applied to your online order during the checkout stage. For eligible products, this will all be available to view through the Blue Light website directly.
We also have Discounts and perks for NHS staff, and again these codes are to be used during the checkout stage online. This offer is open to NHS employees with a valid NHS email address or valid NHS photo ID.
These discounts cannot be applied retrospectively.
I hope this helps,
Linzi

@Linzi_H Has this changed? The information we got was any discount other than friends and family can be applied up to 30 days after the contract was taken out and F&F is up to 6 months after the contract was taken out. And if not applied at the point of sale then a call to customer support can get it applied.

It has changed relatively recently for Perk discount as it used to be available to Retail etc, but Blue Light Discount has always been applied online-only at checkout.
Believe it was always 30 days you had to apply it previously, or had been for a considerable amount of time.
Now it's a hard and fast rule for all discounts to be applied at checkout online.
Only if an error has occurred with Perk and it is definitely an eligible plan can it be escalated to possibly be applied after the fact at the discretion of Contact Centre line managers, but there is no guarantee.

Hi @Chris_B
Blue Light and Perk Discounts must be used at the checkout section online.
On the Blue Light website it states "Blue Light Card members can easily claim discount codes via their account which can be applied to their online order during checkout". From the information I have, this hasn't changed.
The legal bit on Discounts and perks for NHS staff has been updated and states "Discount only applied if you use the code provided and you sign up via ee.co.uk". So this is where the recent change has come in.
There is one exception to this rule, where the code is valid but not recognised or creates an error on an eligible offer, there is an internal escalation process our Guides follow.
Just to add, Friends and Family discounts also now follow the same guidance.
