Did you mean:

Apple music extra

Right now my plan gives me the choice between

Google one , TNT sports and Xbox Game pass

None of them are particularly useful for me but I would be interested in the Apple Music sub

The Apple music isn't included in my plan, do you think EE might give me this instead of the extras available ?

Apple music is also the cheapest out of them all too

Currently using a 6 month free trial that ends in July so no rush but I'm would rather Apple music over any of the others

@DantheSwan Unless you have a tariff that offers this then you can not have it as an inclusive benefit.

I'm on the full works plan, very happy with it excluding one stupid thing

I cannot pick apple music as my included extra, I would need the iPhone plan for that, a plan that is identical to mine but on that you can pick apple one and on mine I cannot

There's simply no logical reason for it, that extra should be available across the board, you shouldn't need a separate plan for it

I phoned them up and they offered to cancel my contract penalty free so I could switch to that plan but

That plan is now more expensive than my one by nearly £20 now

EE solution is to cancel and pay £20 more so I can take a extra worth £12 ........ Laughable

Just combine all extras and allow people to pick whichever perk they want, of they're on android then a simple warning next to apple one will suffice

There's no reason to have a plan called "for iPhone" it's just marketing nonsense

I know this is a minor annoyance but it's the reason I most definitely won't be renewing my contract with EE

It's just so stupid

Hi @DantheSwan,

Thanks for visiting the EE Community

Are you in contract at the moment? It sounds like they may have been discussing doing an entirely new contract when you called, but you can request to do an in life plan change instead which should have been mentioned.

Usually doing an in life plan change will require going to a higher plan whilst in contract, however our policy when it comes to a Full works plan is that you can change from the Android version to the iPhone version or vice versa at the same cost. As long as all you are changing is the version of the plan and not any increase in data etc.

So if you do want to change to the iPhone Full works plan, to get Apple One as your benefit which includes Apple Music, if you request it as an in life plan change they should be able to sort one the same price as your current plan.

They didn't mention that at all and this complaint was escalated so you would imagine they would know about it

Can you take this further your end and see what they can do

As it stands as soon as contract ends I'm off, EE are useless but what you've said makes perfect sense and it's common sense too

Hi again @DantheSwan.

We don't have account access via these forums to make any changes directly, but I definitely want to see if we can help point you in the right direction for getting this sorted.

I can see it's a while since you last mentioned speaking with our team about this, what exactly happened when it was escalated, and how were things left with you?

I got a deadlock letter

they wanted to cancel the contract and then allow me to pick the much more expensive iPhone plan

the difference  was over £10

when all I wanted was exact same plan except the one for iPhone

I’m not prepared to do that , the solution above makes perfect sense but that’s not what happened

Thanks @DantheSwan.

It was definitely my understanding that you can change between the Android and iOS plan versions like @Alex_H mentioned, but as we don't have direct account access on these forums, I can't specifically comment on the details of your case.

Did you raise the deadlock letter with the Ombudsman in the end?

It’s not that important that I’m going to waste even more time by going through all that

I’ll make my feelings known when it’s time to renew and I leave

thanks

This is absolutely your call, but I can appreciate your disappointment on this one @DantheSwan.

If you change your mind, you can find more information in our complaints code of practice.
