roaming is not working

Hello. I have a problem with roaming. I bought a SIM card in England, activated it. In your personal account, a 100gb package is displayed. But having arrived in Europe, it turned out that roaming does not work, only SMS is received about crossing the borders of countries. But calls and the Internet does not work. What are the options for solving the problem? Could the support service check my account by phone number and tell me what the problem is?

Yes, the tariff, i.e. the pack, is activated for use in UK from when a call or text is made but that's not the same as being activated for use roaming abroad. I repeat, that needs the call or text to made whilst connected to EE's home UK network. There is no workaround to that.

Без вызова он не был бы активирован. И она активна. Звонок был сделан...

Without the call, it would not have been activated. And she is active. The call was made.

That doesn't follow from the evidence. You have made no calls!

Sorry, but I don't understand the difference between activation for England and for roaming? In both cases, the call is made from the territory of England, judging by your message ... or when the call was made, while in England, the phone could connect to another network? Is that the difference? I really do not understand...

Who can explain what the difference is? Thank you)

Hi @Tovariz

Thanks for coming here.

To use a pay as you go SIM card abroad, first the SIM would need to have made a call or sent a text on the EE network in the UK. Topping up and buying a pack would not activate the SIM card to be used abroad.

The SIM will activate when back in the UK and used on the EE network.

Thanks.

Leanne.
