My Samsung Galaxy A12 will not work with WiFi Calling - Should it?

Dial *#1234# and post the three sets of numbers. 

  • Have you turned on the service under dial settings. 
  • Are you on EE PAYG or pay monthly contract.
  • Have you checked your WiFi settings.

You posted to say your phone is not working with WiFi-calling - how so? How is it not working?

The phone signal in our house is very poor. One of our phones, an Oppo,
works fine on WiFi , but the other, a Samsung Galaxy A12, doesn't. It
cannot receive or send calls on WiFi.

So your symptoms are that WiFi-calling is not kicking in when you think it should. Does your phone show a VoLTE indicator next to the signal bars, and if so are you able to make & receive calls?

WiFi-calling is normally set to only kick in when 4G-mobile coverage is deemed unusable, based on radio-criteria. Many Android phones have an option to toggle between "mobile preferred" & "WiFi-preferred" under the WiFi-calling settings. Does toggling yours to "WiFi-preferred" have the desired effect?

@bristolian It wont work if his firmware is incompatible hence why I asked in my first post. 

@akc2 click on the green phone - then the three dots - then scroll down to WiFi calling. Or quick panel wifi calling.
