Not sure if this is the right forum. Here in the Western Isles we've been without our EE mobile service in the area for a week now. I have wifi (thank you starlink) but although wi-fi calling is enabled on my phone it seems to come and go, even though I have 5 bars of wifi and rock sold internet.
At first when signal went, wifi calling wasn't there. Then for a couple of days the EE wifi calling icon was there, and I was able to make calls and receive texts. Now it's gone again. Any ideas what could be causing this? Nothing about my internet connection has changed.

Hey there, @davgp.
In the location you're in at the moment, are you totally without signal or is this variable?
Some phones offer the choice to priorities WiFi or mobile service, so if the latter is fluctuating then your phone may be defaulting towards this.

Unfortunately we're totally without signal. The tower has been out for over a week and EE say it might be fixed by the end of next week. Due to the location there's really no signal from anywhere. It's odd because it was definitely working a couple of days ago. I don't think it's the phone as it a spare Vodafone SIM in the same phone gets wifi calling okay.

This may be a Starlink issue rather than an EE mobile one - there have been reports of similar behaviour in the past, my understanding is that Starlink's IP geolocation can sometimes cause issues.
Take a read of this thread - https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Mobile-Services/No-WiFi-Calling/td-p/1559193
Prove your issue either way by testing on a non-Starlink broadband connection if possible.

Okay thanks, makes sense. Next time I'm near another wifi network I'll give that a try and report back.
