I plan to take out a Roaming Pass for the US. EE say that "allows you to use your standard minutes, text and data plan allowances while abroad.......... just as you would in the UK. But what exactly does that mean? Can I call a UK number from the US within my UK allowances? Can I call a US number from the US within my UK allowances? Is there a charge to receive a call from the UK? Is there a charge to receive a call from the US?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

As it is not in EU, she cannot use her usual UK allowances there but will need to pay the charges or buy roaming add-ons as set out in https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/roaming-costs/countries/usa > PAYG.

More exactly what it means is that making calls & texts and receiving calls & texts to/from UK, EU, US, Canadian, Mexican, NZ & Oz nos. are included.

Many thanks. Further to that, my wife has an EE subscription account. Can Roam Abroad be purchased for that?

The Roam Abroad Pass is not available on PAYG.

Thank you. So what are the options? The EE webpage for her account doesn't appear to mention roaming at all.
